ABOUT THE TEAM

Jim Bailey

Project Developer

Jim Bailey is the project developer, art director, and lead games designer for INCURSION. His job is mostly to sit around frothing, chewing his fingers, and muttering about deadlines and so forth. Jim helps run a big architecture firm in Texas, USA by day but every night, he dons his gimp mask to do Grindhouse Games along with his brother John. His most recent project is Secrets of the Third Reich on which he acted as chief stress case and finger-chewer, managing to scribble out the odd rule or two or slap some paint on models between teeth-gnashings.

Seth Nash

Lead Miniatures Designer

Seth Nash is the dude. He is the lead miniatures designer and production guy for INCURSION. That he was actually born from a human mother is still debated far and wide but he emerged as a wee life form from London in the seventies and hasn’t grown up since. His interests include, but are not limited to; war, robots, big swords, books (80% picture preference) and films that look good. Seth has a wife and three kids and lives in a village in Leicestershire U.K. Oh, and he’s quite mental. His extensive resume is therefore classified.

Tears of Envy

Lead Graphic Designer

London based Tears of Envy is the lead graphic designer for INCURSION. She is a freelance designer who has worked with Games Workshop, The Black Library and John Blanche. Aside from graphics her interests include Mexican Lucha wrestling, retro video games and wearing armour. David Ausloos

Graphic Artist

Torn between his passion for Tarkovskian melancholy texturing and a Spielbergian sense of visual drama, Belgium-based David Ausloos has been active as a graphic designer since he stumbled upon an old dingy C64 many years ago. In the precious spare time that he is granted between teaching art classes and doting on his precious daughter, he develops material for clients that range from movie companies to obscure Russian underground tabletop networks. He has been caught designing hardcore survival horror board games and rusty epic Sci-Fi operas with action mechanics, though he tries to keep that to himself out of common sense. David is developing the board graphics for Incursion.

Peter Gifford

Graphic Artist

As Universal Head www.universalhead.com, Peter Gifford has been designing graphics from the most corporate to the most creative for more than twenty years. He’s responsible for the graphic design of several boardgames, most notably ‘Tales of the Arabian Nights’ by Z-Man Games, and once spent a year recreating the Mayan ruins of Chichen Itza in 3D for the computer game ‘The Omega Stone’. In between he’s designed everything from large corporate websites, to postage stamps, to a mobile phone interface. His personal site www.headlesshollow.com is an obsessive repository of professionally designed rules summaries and reference sheets for popular boardgames.

Agis Neugebauer

Game Developer

Agis Neugebauer is a highly experienced games designer and system tester. From his secret lair in Berlin, he is applying his not inconsiderable skill to the development of INCURSION into a world class game. He is 47 years old, married and an IT project manager in his real life. For the last 20 years he has been deeply involved in tabletop wargaming. He paints and models like the devil himself but his real contribution to the community has been as a beta tester for games like Warhammer 40k, Lord of the Rings, EPIC: Armageddon, Battlefield Evolution, Victory at Sea, Supersystem, Chaos in Carpathia and Secrets of the Third Reich. Recently, he authored his first published ruleset: Battlefield Evolution World at War.

Andy and Wendy are thrilled to be working alongside Grindhouse Games to develop more great stuff for the gaming community. Check them out here: http://www.westwindproductions.co.uk/

John Bailey

Exalted Rules Lawyer

Who is that hideous cadaver? He’s John Bailey, the other half of Grindhouse Games. His official title is Exalted Rules Lawyer. This is because in addition to being the guiding force behind rules design for everything Grindhouse does, John is an actual butt-kicking attorney in real life and runs the Grindhouse legal department. John runs the Alamo Warhammer Grand Tournament in San Antonio, Texas every year. He is also the co-author of Secrets of the Third Reich. John did the concept design for the INCURSION ruleset and continues to develop new stuff for the game.

Timothy Britt

Lead Web Developer

Timothy Britt is the lead User Interface and Developer for the INCURSION online presence, www.incursiongame.com. Timothy was formally trained as an architect, but gave it all up to draw little boxes and write code all day. He is obsessed with cognitive science and systems theory. His marketing and development firm, Thinktree Creative, has done user interface and graphic design for the likes of Hewlett-Packard, uTorrent.com, BitTorrent.com and Advanta Bank, as well as re-branding the national digital gaming guru Gamepro.

Gregory Privat

Translator and Beta Tester

The indomitable Gregory Privat is the French Translator and a Beta Tester for Incursion. He is an avid hobbyist from France who has done a great deal of English to French translation of RPGs. Furthermore, he is a consummate tinkerer and designer who has more projects on his plate at any given moment than there are hours in the day. In 2008, Greg produced his first board game: Trollball. You can pick up a copy at Chaosium. To explore Greg’s world including his dark delvings at Innsmouth with the Gloranthan Army, check out his blog here

Tom Weiss

Game Developer

Berlin based Tom Weiss is a game developer for INCURSION. He has been a dedicated miniature gamer and painter since the late Eighties and his hobby career began like so many others with Warhammer 40K Rogue Trader then evolved through many other genres. In addition to exquisitely painting hordes of miniatures over his gaming career, he has also been a playtester for various games such as Supersystem, Chaos in Carpathia and Battlefield Evolution World at War. As a dedicated Space Hulk fan he is thrilled to be on the development team for a contemporary game that captures the claustrophobic intensity of that venerable old classic. http://www.twfigurines.de/

Dan Pacey

Concept Artist and Miniature Sculptor

Dan Pacey did the lion’s share of the early concept art for INCURSION as well as many of the magnificent zombies. Since his graduation from JCU in Australia in 1994, Dan has worked in either a sculpting or illustration capacity on various ranges of figures including Lord of the Rings, Dr. Who, Judge Dredd and many others. He has a decidedly unhealthy fascination with all things zombie and in the past few years has sculpted more than his fair share of zombie models for various companies. When nobody is paying him to sculpt zombies, he does it on his own. He loves them!
